Three new videos this week?!

 Okay, so I've been quite the busy bee, it had been a few weeks since I uploaded because it's good for creators to take a mental health break (remember that, fellow creators, there's no shame in stepping back for a bit) but I also was (slowly) working on two videos. So this past week, I got three videos out, two BattleBots related, and a new Dippy Egg.

First up, I put out the first video in a "Series" I intend on doing. I had this idea to do anecdotal videos pertaining to robot combat for awhile, but just didn't pull the trigger on the concept until now. And based on the view count, I probably should've done it a long time ago. To start off, I did a video based on BattleBots lost media because it's interesting to me and also because lost media channels are blowing up so I thought I'd grab a piece of that pie, haha. I left a few things out of this list because I certainly want to do a part two one day once I do more research but for now, I'm pretty proud of this video. I'm gonna try to do 1 or 2 of these fun list videos a month (aiming for two as long as I don't get too busy/overwhelmed) and I have about ten ideas or so for videos of this variety

Then I finally did a Dippy Egg video, this time around I dug into the Super Mario World hacks I own. It's a less skit-heavy sort of deal (trust me, some of the other videos coming up are a lot more skit-heavy if you're into that) but I just wanted to vibe and chat about these games. There's something so charming about owning hacks of games on physical cartridges and I definitely hope to get more of these. I hope you enjoy it.

And finally, a video talking about the 2021 field of BattleBots. I did a video of last year's field too and it seemed like a lot of people enjoyed it (and disliked it because for some reason BB content always seems to get a lot of dislikes for whatever reason lol), and they're fun to do. [Plus this format requires much less editing so count me in!] I also included some predictions and I'll probably be doing more content like this in the future as well.

So here I am, at the crossroads of my channel. Dippy Egg is absolutely the passion project but it gets very minimal views even after four years of doing that format and almost no growth. The BattleBots stuff does a lot better with views but it gets a lot less interactions. I'm obviously gonna keep doing both, and hopefully something will click because I wanna be a cool content creator that brings some happiness to folks. I'm also hoping to do more lax gaming content like pickup videos (whenever I get pickups), maybe some collection highlight videos. I don't know, give me ideas. I'm in the very least currently working on a TooManyGames 2021 "vlog" right now with pickups. I'm hoping to have it out this week. I got three videos out this past week, I think I'll aim for two this week.

TooManyGames 2021 was neat

 I was too pooped to write this when I arrived home last night but I attended TooManyGames 2021. I typically go all three days but this year I opted to only go on Friday because a large part of TooManyGames is the game hunting and with how much retro game prices have inflated in the past year, so my primary goal was just to follow the events. Typically friday has been the best time to find deals since it's so early on, though Sunday's got its perks with the sellers who just don't want to take their crap home. That said, Friday was a good choice because I got to see lots of neat stuff.  The guest list in my opinion this year was pretty lackluster. I guess I just typically like a stacked lineup of retro content creators. And while there absolutely were some, it wasn't as much. Which isn't really a complaint, I only wanted to attend one day anyways. I just think it's funny that they opted to book Chumlee from Pawn Stars and Nostalgia Critic. Speaking of Nostalgia C...
